I have started a Niche challenge I saw on www.blog.paperartsy.co.uk.
Reading through the blog, I was inspired by the Niches blog post. As you all know I love altered art and mixed media, so this was right up my street.
please watch this space for the finished product.
There are little pieces of 'me' in this project, a bee which is the meaning of my name, a thistle button to represent where I come from and a skull for my love of all things Halloween, nestled on a cord and atop an old tin pan, I really enjoyed creating this altered time piece.

If you havent tried Centura Pearl Card , you absolutely need to, a dream to score cut and looks fabulous when you are making up your cards. Hello everyone, well what can I say, I am making it my mission to keep up with my blog !!! I am busy creating new samples for Crafters Companion, so keep looking as I will reveal the samples as soon as the products are on sale. I love working with the new products.
I have also been cutting blank box cards with my silhouette and creating my own fun inserts, here are some recently done, 2 of which are my own design and the other box cut is a complete cutting file. I have so much fun doing these.
Top tips on glues -
If you are sick of being burnt with your hot glue gun, why not try Collall 3d glue gel, although it needs leaving for 24 hours to completely dry, your elements will be stuck fast and wont be going anywhere in a hurry. Its well worth the price and saving you from those burnt fingers.

Empty Jar to Altered Jar
This weeks crafty make is an Altered Jar, quick and easy to create after your paint has dried. This is simply an old candle jar, cleaned and dried. You pop acrylic paint into the jar in whatever colour you choose and swirl it around until every inch of the jar is covered, take the time to let the excess drip out before setting it down and leaving to dry , at least for 24 hours. o the same with the lid if its glass. When dried you can start to add whatever you desire in your chosen theme. Here i have used some Graphic 45 papers and tissue paper, added embellishments. I added some soft sparkle to the butterflies and I think the result is lovely. I have popped it on my dressing table with cotton wool balls inside, you dont have to put anything inside , it could be purely for decoration. HAPPY CRAFTING.
