Easy Project with leftover pieces of card and ribbon

This week time has been of the essence and I have been very busy so I got my thinking head on and have just used leftover pieces of card to create this simple Tussie Mussie. Using a scap piece of Graphic 45 I cut a semi circle to form the cone shape you see. Glued it down well with hot glue and attached a card handle which was stapled to each side.
The staples were covered by the leftover ribbon you see which goes all the way round. I used Die'Sire The Leaf 2 die and made some leaves for each side using some card that came from a discarded gift box. The Die 'ire range are available at www.crafterscompanion.co.uk as is the Sentimentals stamp I used and the colour core co ordinations card for the label at the front. All ready now to add some small gifts and give as a present, quick and easy to do and you can readily make these smaller ones from scrap pieces you have lying about. I am doing some design team work over the next few weeks so may be a little quieter than normal . Keep Crafting. xxx

So here is what I used to make this weeks project.

I used a Prima Doll stamped image and coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers, in BG1, BG4, TB1, TB2, TB3, TB9 and TB5. I added a fun ribbon edge to the bottom of the skirt, i think it looks great and gives a good effect. On the background I inked in Distress ink in Broken China and ripped pieces of patterned paper and inked those up to in the same colour, I backed the tag in Blue cardstock from the ColourCore cordinations pad. I chose a Camelia small die and the stamen die to create a small flower in similiar tones to the papers and background, I run them through the big shot in the Make a Wish Embossing folder for a little extra texture and dimension and added a little broken china ink in places. I used a Dylusions stamp for the saying on the side. Glues I used were Collal Tacky and Collall 3d and some crafters companion double sided tape, my must have. Most of the products I used are readily available at www.crafterscompanion.co.uk Happy Crafting xxx

Vintage Glitter Bottle

Having received my Crafters Companion Inspirations magazine, I used the fabulous papers included to make flowers for my vintage glitter bottle for my friend's birthday. The postcard on the bottle is also a paper element from the things that come with the magazine, and how funny I was already going to make a glitter bottle (we all know i love glittering bottles) and hey presto there was one in the magazine, so featured below is my glitter bottle. The flowers were made using the Blissful Flower, Sunflower and stamer Die'sire dies. Adding these to a vintage net flower they complete my vintage bottle theme. Stick and Spray and Spray and Shine wer both used in the making of this project and are fast becoming some of my must have at all times craft items. So handy and they do the job it says on the tim, both available from www.crafterscompanion.co.uk Why not pop over there and order issue 4 of the Inspiration magazine, you will have lots of project inspiration among the pages and you can make something right from the papers and embossing folder and stamp enclosed in the magazine package. Take care until next time xx
